Are Foxfire Machines Legal?

Gambling requires three elements: prize, chance, and consideration. Remove any one of them and the activity falls outside the definition. Foxfire removes chance, and an independent laboratory verified that at the source-code level.

No random number generation. Eclipse Compliance Testing reviewed the source code and found no RNG and no pseudo-random process at any stage, and stated in its report: "This device is not a slot machine."

Its findings are technical: no random number generator, no pseudo-random process, outcomes stored before play, chance completely removed, and the system is not a slot machine.

The conclusion that a machine without chance falls outside a state's gambling definition is the legal reading that follows from those findings and from the three-element test. A testing laboratory certifies how a device behaves. It does not issue legal rulings, and this page does not present it as one.
